I am a lover of justice and of words.

Storytelling through acting, writing and directing, are great passions of mine. As the founder of Kelechnekoff dance studio, I bring my knowledge of building a business based on women’s empowerment as well as my incisive social justice experience, into making Child of Light a safe space for those who need it. Supporting my mum in realising her dream of opening a children’s home that shifts discourse - has been a true gift from God.

As a mental health nurse for nearly two decades, one thing that became very clear to me is; how a child starts life will likely dictate the adult they become. There are many children who require the best chance possible to live a fulfilled life despite the circumstances they might’ve been born into. Watching my daughter, Kelechi’s growth inspired me to want to support other children in forging their own path, as well as facilitating a space where mothers can receive the support they need in order to thrive. God works through people, and I pray that through this Child of Light Children’shome, God can continue to work through me for a more just society.
